Military Outreach

About the Military Outreach Program

As the project management profession has grown in numbers and in standing, military commands across the globe have begun to promote PMI processes and certification. Through the Military Outreach Program, veterans and active service military who fill project or program manager roles have the opportunity to obtain their PMI certification, in addition to their Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certifications.

PMI Mile Hi’s Military Outreach Program can assist current and aspiring project managers by:

  • Helping PMI Mile Hi members develop understanding and support for the needs of our defense community.
  • Promoting the profession of project management.
  • Advocating PMI values, process, skills and certifications.
  • Providing project management certification assistance to military personnel.
  • Providing transition assistance to military personnel leaving federal service.
  • Hosting Social Events and Hiring Events
