Speaker:   Mark DeFee

Title: Beyond The Words: Advanced Skills for Successful Conversations

Synopsis: Communication goes beyond the words we speak. This 2-hour presentation explores the different ends of the communication spectrum from our internal dialogue to the social awareness aspect of Emotional Intelligence. Understanding our mindset as well as the mindset of others makes it easy to obtain positive results in any conversation!

Bio:   Mark is a Psychotherapist, Speaker, and Account Executive with an expertise in communication, emotional wellness, and personal development. He has over 13 years worth of experience helping organizations learn to improve productivity, exchange ideas constructively, and enhance relationships.

He has worked with companies of all sizes from Fortune 50 companies to small startups. His background ranges from delivering clinical services, including crisis counseling, to over 5 years of sales & account management experience in the behavioral health division of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. He currently works exclusively with Anthem National Accounts that employ 1K+ workers.

  • Registration for this event ends the Tuesday prior to the event at 5:00 p.m.  If you must register for this event after that time, contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@pmimilehi.org) up to 3:00 p.m. the day of the event to register (note that a late fee may apply).
  • The Go To Meeting link will be sent out by the Help Desk the Tuesday evening prior to the event after registration closes at 5:00 p.m.  If you have not received the link by Wednesday morning at 10a.m., contact the Help Desk no later than 3pm (helpdesk@pmimilehi.org).  Please ensure that you have the Help Desk email noted as a "safe sender email" so that it does not end up in your Spam box.  Refunds will not be given if you do not contact the Help Desk prior to 3pm and you are not able to gain access to the meeting.

 

Meeting Schedule

         Registration and Networking: 5:00 - 5:30

         First presentation: approx. 5:30 - 6:30

         Second presentation: approx. 7:00 - 8:15
