The Best Defense Is a Good Offense: Keys to Effective Risk Mitigation, Contract Management and Dispute Resolution

PDU Category: Leadership

Regis PMI South Jnaury 2018 Roundtable

The presentation will give project owners, team members, contractors, and the attorneys that support them, an explanation of effective contract and risk management technologies along with tools. If followed, these tools will help ensure the successful reduction of disputes during a project instead of allowing them to fester and turn into a litigation nightmare.  Participants will gain an understanding of what Contractual Awareness really means and how to use a contract matrix effectively with the project team. By applying this knowledge, managers can ensure that key project elements are not overlooked and a change order request is not “null and void” based on lack of contractual entitlement.
