First Presentation 1 [Technical Project Management]

Speaker:  Stephen Wilson

Presentation Title:  Managing the Wrong Project: How to leverage deep experience while avoiding assumptions

First Presentation Synopsis:

Even PMs with deep experience can fail to heed warning signs. It is easy for us to rely on our mental representations to the detriment of the project in front of us. Join Stephen as he provides guidance on how to leverage deep experience while avoiding assumptions in project management.

Speaker:  Sharen March

Presentation Title:  Plan a path to your dream PM job

Second Presentation Synopsis:

Have you ever been intimidated by someone’s business card? What can you do to achieve confidence and credibility? How can you use this confidence and credibility with your project teams and stakeholders?  The answer is surprisingly simple. Create your identity and actively pursue it. Craft a personal charter, create a plan with milestones that you are willing to commit to, get buy-in from everyone that will be impacted by your success, and then go for it!
