Presentation Title: Empower Your Voice – Build and Project Confidence

Synopsis:

How can you increase your communication impact? Are you nervous for that important presentation? Are you scattered when you go into project meetings? The Empower Your Voice workshop will help you identify was to make you a more effective project leader and communicate with more confidence.

Bio:

Andrea Buell PMP, PMI-ACP, CCPM, CPCC/ACC

Andrea Buell is a Certified Co-Active coach and Project Management Specialist who enables people to bring significant results to their projects and themselves. Currently working as a Product Development Manager at medical device company, Medtronic in Boulder, Andrea continuously utilizes her varied skills in coaching, facilitating, training, and project management, especially in the planning and scheduling areas. She has over 30 years of PM experience in business process improvement, acquisitions, change management, instructional design, and software development in multiple industries. A chronic volunteer for PMI since 2003, and as Mile Hi Chapter VP of Public Relations 2007-2011, she drove the 2009 Chapter awards win.

Presentation Title: Practicing the People Side of Success

Synopsis:

This session will walk you through the key skills you need to influence all levels of individuals impacted by your project. Our discussion will help you:

  • Identify your influencing targets and goals
  • Understand what project sponsors are looking for in their PMs
  • Learn what “people” information to pay attention to and how
  • Better frame your message back to your influencer
  • Practice these skills to influence a colleague (15 minute table exercise)

 

Bio:

Michelle Kahler is an expert practitioner in project management, business analysis, process improvement and change leadership at North Highland, a global management consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta. She is also a career sports enthusiast with a background playing D1 college basketball, pro-women’s football and most recently Lacrosse! For the past 20 years, Michelle has helped solve complex business problems and expand a variety of capabilities for many public and private sector organizations. She is an active supporter of the PMI and IIBA Denver chapters and meets regularly with colleagues to brainstorm ideas and career development…relationships are the key!

  • First presentation: approx. 5:30 - 6:30
  • Dinner: 6:30 - 7:00
  • Second presentation: approx. 7:00 - 8:15
