- Growth is a process, and approaching it as such is essential
- Leaders must be able to give things up and react accordingly
- Leaders must make the challenging decisions in regards to staff
- Leaders must evaluate themselves first
Speaker: Alysia Birkholz, PhD; Deputy CEO Texcell-North America
About the Speaker. Alysia Birkholz, PhD, is the Deputy CEO at the biotech service organization Texcell-North America, Inc., where she provides operational and scientific direction for systems, resources, and people. Alysia has a background in professional development training and career planning and she is a guest speaker for colleges and organizations and mentor for startup organizations. Her passion for helping people has driven her to share experiences and strategies that others can use to help them in their personal and professional growth.
Among her many education accomplishments, Alysia earned a Ph.D in Biological Sciences from UC San Diego logo, completed graduate studies in Project Management at the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, and holds a BA in Biochemistry and Biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland. She earned certification in Leadership Communications. She actively give of her time to support the local community as activity such volunteer with the Salk Mobile Science and the Toastmasters District 53 in New England
