Presentor:  Chuck Knezevich, MBA, PMP

 

First Presentation:  “Denver Metro Project Management Educational Foundation - Competition”

 

Synopsis:  Chuck will be leading the attendees through the Denver Metro Project Management Educational Foundation High School Project Management Competition. 

 

Bio:  Chuck is the President of the Denver Metro Project Management Education Foundation and has been a Foundation Board member since 2008.  He is a long-time volunteer for the PMI Mile Hi Chapter, having served as Vice President of Education from 2004 until 2008. That same year he was elected to serve as President of the Chapter, a position he held until 2012.  From 2012 until 2014 Chuck was the Chairman of the Board.

Presentor:  Kari S. Sanders

 

Second Presentation:   It Won’t Happen on Its Own – Driving Schedule and Scope Control

 

Synopsis:    All the project planning steps have been followed, everyone is aware of the milestones, and the team is working hard. So, why are things not on track? We will discuss why doing everything right might still not be enough and tips for (politely) driving schedule and scope control.

 

Bio:   Kari Sanders has 25 years of experience with projects including optical payloads, spacecraft, satellite ground systems, and manufacturing torpedo components. These efforts have spanned the project lifecycle and ranged from $250,000 to over $800 million. She currently works as a consultant for organizational change and enterprise IT efforts. Kari holds a B.S. in Physics and a B.S. EE from CSM; an MS EE from UCLA; and an MBA from Regis University. She is an active member of the Mile Hi chapter including Career Growth Workshops, Symposium, North Professional Development Workshop, VP of Finance, and the upcoming 2022 WPML event.

  • Registration for this event ends the Tuesday prior to the event at 5:00 p.m.  If you must register for this event after that time, contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@pmimilehi.org) up to 3:00 p.m. the day of the event to register (note that a late fee may apply).
  • The virtual meeting link will be sent out by the Help Desk the Tuesday evening prior to the event after registration closes at 5:00 p.m.  If you have not received the link by Wednesday morning at 10a.m., contact the Help Desk no later than 3pm (helpdesk@pmimilehi.org).  Please ensure that you have the Help Desk email noted as a "safe sender email" so that it does not end up in your Spam box.  Refunds will not be given if you do not contact the Help Desk prior to 3pm and you are not able to gain access to the meeting.
