Who are we helping?
Nonprofit Organizations qualifying as a 501(c)(3) based in Colorado.
When is the event?
Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Downtown Denver, 1400 Welton St, Denver, CO 80202 from 8a-4p.
What will be provided at the event?
Food, beverages, and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
Basic office supplies will for provided for use during the day. We recommend you bring a laptop.
What preparation for the event day will the Nonprofit undertake?
The Nonprofit organization is expected to attend in person on the event day. Representatives are encouraged to attend a virtual training to better understand project management principles and connect with project management professionals before the event to discuss their initiative. Opportunities to meet virtually with your PM lead before the event and will be arranged by the PM professional.
How many Nonprofit employees can attend PMDoS?
Please plan on bringing no more than 2-3 representatives per Nonprofit organization.
What type of needs are addressed at PMDoS?
PM Day of Service is a problem-solving event for any organization's initiative or issue. The most common needs are upcoming company initiatives, such as program expansions, system implementations, strategic initiatives, risk management, fundraising events, or capital campaigns.
What is my commitment as a Project Manager Volunteer?
PM Day of Service is a one day in person event in which our volunteers are expected to offer their time, advice, and whichever tools at their disposal, free of charge to the charity or charities assigned. Volunteers are encouraged to attend a virtual training before the event. The lead PM is encouraged to meet virtually with the Nonprofit before the event to conduct an initial discovery session.
How are PMs and Nonprofits matched?
The PMDoS team will analyze the needs of each request and do their best to match that to a project manager with similar skill set and/or interests. It's important to know that project managers do not need to be subject matter experts in the specific request. They will bring their expertise in project planning and documentation.
