Job Seekers Group (2)

Job Seekers Group (2)

03-03-2026 10:15 AM -12:00 PM

Presenter: Angie Callen

Topic: Design Over Default: Turning Values into a Career Navigation System

What We’ll Cover:

In this session, Angie Callen explores how to move from default decision-making to intentional choice by turning values into a career navigation system. Participants will examine how values show up in real-world work and career scenarios, learn how to use them as a filtering and prioritization tool, and walk away with a clearer, more grounded way to evaluate options, make trade-offs, and move forward with confidence — in a job search and beyond.

Key Takeaways:

  • Clarify your core values and recognize how those values influence satisfaction, motivation, and decision-making at work.
  • Recognize how values show up in practice, including where misalignment often creates friction, indecision, or burnout.
  • Apply a values-based lens to career decisions, including job searches, role evaluations, trade-offs, and growth paths.
  • Use values as a filtering and prioritization tool, not just a reflection exercise, when facing uncertainty or competing options.
  • Increase confidence and clarity by making decisions that are intentional, defensible, and aligned with how you want to work, lead, and live.
