(3) What are special considerations for dealing with art and artifacts that don’t need to be considered on other projects.

About the Speaker. Mark Baker is the Director of Facilities for the Denver Art Museum (DAM) where he leads a Team of Facilities Management professionals in the day-to-day care and upkeep of two major art museums, an administrative building, and the Cultural Campus grounds for the City and County of Denver. Prior joining the DAM, Mark worked as the Senior Vice President for Airport Infrastructure Management at Denver International Airport. His directorate consisted of three divisions, Engineering, Maintenance, and Sustainability/Environmental and 12 departments. He led over 1100 full time and contract personel in the daily upkeep of the third busiest airport in the world and the largest in the United States. Mark is a retired Air Force Colonel with 30 years of service and pilot having flown over 4000 hours. He has commanded at the squadron, group, and wing level and served as the Chief of Staff for our National Ballistic Missile Defense forces. He is an Accredited Airport Executive with the American Association of Airport Executives, holds two Master’s Degrees, is a qualified PMP with PMI, and a Certified Facilities Manager with the International Facilities Management Association.
