Using Social Media to Improve Workplace Leadership

This workshop will focus on how to use social media individually or as a team/ organization to increase your leadership effectiveness. We will cover the basics – definitions, common features, benefits, risks, and types of social media.  Then how to use social media to be a better leader; best practices for the three most popular social media platforms, and general social media best practices. We will also discuss creating a social media strategy and crafting a social media policy for yourself, your team, or your organization.

Andy-Hasty.jpg Andy Hasty is a Global Business Process Owner for Finance and Accounting at IKO Industries, Inc. He is responsible for identifying business needs, evaluating best practices, and developing processes that leverage technology to improve efficiency. Andy also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, specializing in management decision making. Andy holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Leo University and MS, MBA, and DBA degrees from Wilmington University. He holds CMA and CPA designations as well as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. Andy serves as a member of the IMA’s Leadership Academy faculty and Leadership Academy Mentoring Program Team Committee.
