Presentation Synopsis:  

Part 1: Top project managers demonstrate superior relationship and communication skills and positive attitudes. This session identifies vital soft skills, why they are so important, and steps you can take to hone them.

Part 2: Humor can be a project manager's secret weapon.  Learn its benefits and how to use it effectively.

Speaker Bio: 

Beth Boaz is uniquely qualified to share the importance of soft skills.  Beginning her career as a Professional Engineer with the US Bureau of Reclamation, her “soft skills” led her to a project management role.  She earned her PMP in 2009.

Beth hones her communication and leadership skills through active participation in Toastmasters International.  She excels in speech evaluation and in training Toastmasters’ leaders. Her leadership experience includes serving on Toastmasters’ Board of Directors.

Beth is now a member of Team Tipton, a Certified B Corporation dedicated to forging sustainable, transformational change in organizations serving humanity and the public good.

• Registration for this event ends the Tuesday prior to the event at 5:00 p.m.  If you must register for this event after that time, contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@pmimilehi.org) up to 3:00 p.m. the day of the event to register (note that a late fee may apply).
• The virtual meeting link will be sent out by the Help Desk the Tuesday evening prior to the event after registration closes at 5:00 p.m.  If you have not received the link by Wednesday morning at 10a.m., contact the Help Desk no later than 3pm (helpdesk@pmimilehi.org).  Please ensure that you have the Help Desk email noted as a "safe sender email" so that it does not end up in your Spam box.  Refunds will not be given if you do not contact the Help Desk prior to 3pm and you are not able to gain access to the meeting.

• First presentation: approx. 5:30 - 6:30
• Second presentation: approx. 6:45 - 8:00
