Innovation

Think outside the box!  Learning how to master the arts of observation, collaborative brainstorming, visualization and creation and increase your odds of success.  Learn about

  • 3 kinds of thinking that the business community needs
  • 4 kinds of leadership that the world needs
  • 1 model of companionship

Dr Sagendorf will give an insightful presentation and lead an interactive discussion on how we can link the community, local businesses, policy makers, and students and faculty together to brainstorm solutions for the pressing problems of our time.  Learn the details of the Regis University model for entrepreneurship and how it applies to project managers as they strive to achieve success.

Ken Sagendorf is the Director of Innovation, Curriculum and Development and a Professor in the Anderson College of Business at Regis University.  He has been putting strategic planning, management and leadership skills honed over twenty years within and outside of academe into action through innovation.  He spends his time applying systems thinking and building partnerships within the business community and across multiple institutions as well as pioneering and publishing on new methods of teaching and learning across disciplines.

He serves as a consultant on sales, marketing and promotion of startups in the Denver area, has founded 4 for-profit and non-profit businesses in education and health care industries and published 5 books.  At Regis, he has founded two (2) centers, raised over $1.3M in the last three years, built the most innovative space on campus, and created Regis’ first-ever business competition supported by a new accelerator: The Magis Factory.  He teaches innovation and entrepreneurship-focused courses and has been requested and served as international consultant and strategic planning expert.

When he isn’t busy patting himself on the back for arrogantly bragging, Ken and his family (wife, Amy and daughters, Peyton and Brynn) spend all of their spare time and money on volleyball while occasionally taking advantage of the outdoor lifestyle of Colorado and communing with their neighbors and friends.
